Poem: Good 'Ol Brown

Good ‘Ol Brown

By: Joi Maree Flowers

He searched for his dear friend
When the thunder roared its loudest
And the earth beneath his feet shook
Causing him to stumble
And fall to his knees

But he was nowhere around

As his strength succumbed to weakness
And the pain became too much to bear
He picked up a bottle
And there his friend was at the bottom
Waiting to numb him of his sorrows

Good 'Ol Brown
