Staying Easy

I won't cuss
I refuse to fuss
I'm saving my energy for my move

While he bathes
Last night's
Shame off of
His skin

The things he's done
He thinks I don't know about
But I do

I gather my things
As for a long trip
But this time
There's no returning

Here

To him

As there is no reason to

I won't shout
I won't make a scene
That'll just prolong my stay

I won't let him know
That I'm leaving

I'm keeping my cool

Staying easy

While out the door I make my way to leave
