Lovely Day

Introduced to a new day
Welcomed by the sun's rise
Everything may not be what it was hoped

But that's ok
That's alright

Walked outside
And every face that passed by
Smiled and said hello

Looked up into the sky
And no cloud hovered over
No chance of rain in sight

Got the day off
Time needed
And well over due

Errands all ran
To-Do list completely checked off
With much time left for self

No news of one's passing
No cries heard on the other end of the phone
No worries and stress to derail today's tone

Everything was alright
Everything was ok

The perfect way to spend
A day so lovely
Today
