NO Said...

And sleepless

Looking at the number you gave me
But I have yet to call
Not sure as to why
Being that I was thrilled at the first sight of you

Something said NO
Even before you walked towards my direction
Yet to you I still said hello

Something said NO
Even before you took me by the hand onto the dance floor
Yet still we swayed until the last played song

Then again

Something said NO
When you asked we to continue after tonight
I said yes and took ya number

Got home and couldn't sleep
My conscious was screaming
Though my listening was weak

I wanted what I wanted
But NO
Said you weren't good for me

I wondered why
Guess I'll never know what the reason would have been

Because
To NO
I chose to listen

And said NO also

That's when the screams stopped
My eyes closed
And sleep took over
