Truth Ain't

It's hard to look in the mirror wearing shades
Vision tinted from seeing the truth of what is
The one whom you purposely choose to ignore

Denial being the crutch
Supported by lies
Co-signed by fans
Increased by pride

The you
Camouflaged by
Make-up
And
Suppose-to-be

A fantasy painted by
Society

Is the you
You prefer

Thus the truth of your revelation
Is never known

To others
Nor yourself

Until those shades away are thrown
