Peace
By: Joi Maree Flowers
We smile when a child is born
But cry when a loved one dies
But why
When we are to do
Just the opposite
Human nature I guess
This world is so corrupted
That the only peace lies is Heaven
The newborn child doesn't know this yet but will learn in time that Earth is
Plagued with dysfunction
Injected with hate
Only the peacefulness of death from it can we escape
But of death we are also afraid
As we don't want to leave behind those whom we love
On the battlefields of earth
But our calling cannot be delayed
As we must answer in that second
When heaven comes knocking and calls our name
To be sent to the joy of awaited peace
Though that means leaving loved ones behind to fight
As it is not yet their time to be called
To paradise
To feel the bliss of home
Though one day we all will again
Join one another
Where we won't ever again say goodbye

Joy, that was great!
