Poem: No End

No End
By: Joi Maree Flowers

There is no end
Even when death arrives

When love is everlasting
There is no placed end time

As forever has no ending
Only new days to see

Loyal to its customers
The greatest guarantee

Poem: Everday We

Everday We

By: Joi Maree Flowers

If everyday we loved
And let not outside disturbances
Tamper with the defining of us
Many days we will see
And
The goal of forever we will meet

If everyday we laughed
And let not the interference
Of thrown words spoken from mouths filled with fire
Imprison our happiness
We shall always see sunshine
Even if outside there is a storm

If everyday we lived
As we do
And let not stereotype mold us into its model
To become like others it has deceived
We will always remain
Our love as defined

Poem: As Destined

As Destined
By: Joi Maree Flowers

I see me writing down my dreams on paper
Word for word

I see me walking on the road of destiny
Step by step

I see me becoming God's Will
Just as He'd written it

I see the time passing
By and by

Being used wisely
And properly

As I Become
My destiny

Poem: Contentment

Contentment

By: Joi Maree Flowers

The same is just as

With silence imprisoning the voice
With complacency paralyzing a move
With sleep sedating a dreamer's dream
As comfort reigns as King

As hope is tainted
As faith lacks dependency
As direction stops at its resting place
To reside in a home built on a rocky foundation

To comply to the norm
To accept the mediocre of commonality
To resist the will power to succeed
As becoming is conquered by being

With eyes looking
To the left and right
And backwards
Of familiar surroundings

Content with the referral of a life acceptable as good

Poem: Because of Him

Because of Him

By: Joi Maree Flowers

Woke up again in the same bed as prior times
Giving thanks to the Father above for giving sight to vision
And breath to flow through this soul filled shell

For if not for Him

Yesterday could have easily been the last day spent on Earth
With the tears of mourner's beginning to fill the river's level over it's capacity
As today would start the days of remembering the life that is no more

But because of Him

Life is as before
With no tears cried
Only smiles welcoming the new day of life

The Father in Heaven is thanked again for this day

Amen

Poem: If Ever

If Ever

By: Joi Maree Flowers

If ever should I loose my way
Would you set out on the path
To find me

If ever should our hands loose its grip
And reach out to embrace again
Would you grab mine

If ever love forgot to love us
And the beginning had to start over again
Would you be willing

If we changed our name out of anger
And gave space permission to separate us
Would we be called one again after forgiveness

Poem: Folks Like They

Folks Like They
By: Joi Maree Flowers

Some folks got everything to say about nothing
But nothing to say about something

(Sigh)

They know more than others do
If you let 'em tell it
Smarter than Albert Einstein
They think of themselves as

They tend to replay the scenes of your past
But hide theirs by burying them 6 feet under lost memories
As yours is more amusing to play before an audience
To be laughed at like a clown
And judged like a suspect
While their role is kept intacted as perfect

(Sigh)

They sit on the first few pews on Sundays
Shout of a few "Amen's" and "Hallelujah's"
Kneel before the altar and cry out to the Lord
But as soon as service is over
They remove their make-up and once again become their truth
Wicked

And

They're quick to point out your faults
But have yet to practice the words they preach from their own lips

(Sigh)

Folks like these got everything to say about nothing
But nothing to say about something
