Poem: Untitled

Untitled

By: Joi Maree Flowers

I was raised to respect
All
People
Both young and old

It didn't matter if they were
The President
The Pope
The Garbage man
Or even
The less fortunate

Everyone was to be greeted with the same extended hand
Offered the same extended stay
Praised in the same proud way
And thanked in the same appreciative way

Even those
Whose names
Were
Untitled

Even those
Who's name
Were
Unknown
